SUPPORT FOR VETERANS
We wanted to do more than make ski jackets in the USA, we wanted to provide an opportunity to give back to veterans who are responsible for creating modern ski culture in America which is why we donate 1% of all revenue to nonprofit organizations that support veterans and use veteran vendors for things like our custom Nivis patches. This idea clicked instantly when our team stopped by the Alf Engen Ski Museum in Park City and learned about the history of skiing in the United States.
During WW2, the 10th Mountain Division was established as an alpine warfare unit to help free the world from Nazi control. After success in Italy during the war, many of these men returned home with their passion for skiing and opened resorts and ski schools across the country. Using their experience, over 60 resorts were founded by veterans with the most profound being Vail. Nivis will continue to foster relationships with veterans and organizations that support them in our effort to honor them.
